The work of the researcher in the laboratory is not so different from that of an artist. Both need to go through experimentation and reflection, and both are in search of the unknown. Both are like attentive observers of reality, capable of revealing hidden or unknown aspects of the world. One can see the researcher in the laboratory and the artist as detectives, seeking to uncover the mysteries of the world around them.
